With about one million people from virtually every nationality, race, religion and faith community represented, the Ottawa-Gatineau National Capital Region is home to an incredible multi-cultural population. In their roles as ceremony celebrants and marriage officiants, Lynne and Keith Langille have planned weddings for many couples of a range of ethnicities and religious backgrounds incorporating their traditions and culture into their wedding ceremonies. Should you or your future spouse have an ethnic identity, they encourage you to proudly show it. If some of your families speak a language other than English, then one or both of the readings used during your ceremony can be in that language without translation, allowing the beauty of the language to speak for itself. Couples having a Scottish background have entered, and exited, with a bagpiper preceding them. For those of Jewish heritage, the breaking of the glasses as shown below, is easily incorporated into the ceremony and enjoyed by all guests. Your wedding is an opportunity for you honour yourselves, your families and your heritage by bringing to your ceremony the beautiful accents of word, song, dress and tradition that have made you who you are. For weddings where one of the couple has an Indian, Pakistani, or Vietnamese heritage, Lynne can also perorm ceremonies wearing one of the many different gowns she has from these cultures as shown in the photos above and below.
