We are passionate believers in using music during your ceremony to help you achieve the total effect of your wedding vision and the enjoyment of your guests.

Your choices of music can reflect who you are as a couple in a powerful way, adding just the right accents to an already personalized and innovative marriage ceremony.

In general, there five specific points where music is usually is played during most wedding ceremonies:

  • Prior to the ceremony start for about 20 to 30 minutes;
  • For the Mother of the Bride; Bridesmaids & Maid of Honour; and Flowers Girls & Ring Bearer in the Procession;
  • The entrance of the Bride and her escort;
  • During the signing of the official papers, when applicable
  • The Recession of the Bride and the Groom

Music, especially when it is live, adds such a festive element to what your guests experience during the socialization period before the ceremony and during it.

Here are several reasons why you should consider having live music during your ceremony rather than using a DJ:

  • live music has, almost always, a much more classy effect on guests than recorded music;.
  • the cost of live music is often the same and sometimes less that hring a DJ for several extra hours to be on hand for the ceremony;
  • live musicians know exactly when to start, stop, and when necessary, extend their pieces to allow for variables in the timing of ceremony proceeedings;
  • minimal set-up time and space requred

If somehow, live music does not fit into you your plans, there are several reasons why you should consider having an experienced DJ play the music during your ceremony rather than using an IPOD or PC:

  • experienced DJs have a better track record for matching the timing of songs to ceremony requirements;
  • experienced DJs are far more likely to play the songs in the right order;
  • experienced DJs are more likely to have all the required professional equipment to ensure that your music sounds the way you want it to;
  • experienced DJs are more likely to have all the right cables for the sound to be amplified properly;
  • experienced DJs are better able to make recommendations to you as to the specific songs that they have heard used for the different elements of the ceremony; and perhaps, most importantly,
  • in our experience of almost 2,000 ceremonies during the past 13 years, the people responsible for managing the Ipods and PCs during a ceremony screw up in a major way more often than not.

If we could show and tell you how we could help you visualize and experience having the best wedding ceremony that you and your guests have ever been to in your lives, you would want, at least, to have a look, hear about it, and get a good feel for it, wouldn't you?

If this looks good, sounds great or gives you the feeling of control that you want for your wedding ceremony, then contact us (Lynne & Keith) using the automated form or by phone at (613) 831-7555 or inquire by email at Keith@ExceptionalCeremonies.com) so that we discuss and focus upon creating a unique, enjoyable ceremony that fits you like tailored made clothing.
