Although not yet common in Ottawa, theme type weddings are starting to get some momentum and can be a vivid alternative to traditional weddings - which many people consider quite boring. As with all of the ceremonies for which they officiate, Lynne and Keith Langille will work with you to adapt the ceremony as much as possible to enable you to achieve your desired creative effect.
In the photo below, the couple wanted to build around the the groom's Scottish heritage. The choice of a vibrant tartan for nine children involved really helped showcase this spectacularly.
One of the most fun weddings Lynne and Keith have done recently involved a pig roast and camp out for over 100 guests. Extremely casual, it was a roaring success with all of the attendees.
Another unique ceremony was held at a golf course just before Christmas in the evening despite the minus 25 temperature. The bride arrived in horse drawn sleigh along with a bevy of bridesmaids with gowns designed for the weather.
A personal favourite of Lynne and Keith involves a surprise wedding staged at a annual cottage reunion. The couple had first gone out together 45 years earlier and wanted maximum surprise for their family and guests. Only a few people sworn to secrecy were aware that the wedding ceremony being acted out was really a fully legal ceremony that met all requirements.
Since Lynne and Keith have chosen to push the envelope with their innovative approach to wedding ceremonies, they are open to consider and discuss any creative ideas that you might have for your ceremony. Tell them your vision and let your imagination begin to flow! Lynne and Keith will work with you to get you up, up and away!
